Cookie Chaos!

On October 1, 2017, Sacramento Adventist Academy’s (SAA’s) annual Fall Festival started at 10:00 a.m., and Robotics was ready to go! For this year’s booth, the Marketing team came up with a fantastically fun idea; Cookie decorating! Everyone pitched in to make the booth a success, team members made sugar cookies and brought frosting and candy decorations until we were up to our ears in sugar! It’s so important to get our name out there, and why not do it in a way that’s exciting (and tasty) to the younger kids? “Telling people about robotics gives us opportunities and experiences in the real world, as well as simulates real world business interactions,” as Gil Fayard, the Director of Finance and Information for Capitals Engineering, says.  Overall, the booth was a success, as Mr. Wade puts it, “The booth raised awareness and was a fun way to participate in the festival.” Counting it up, we made an impressive $67.00 at only $.50 a cookie. Capitals Engineering made a great splash, and, hopefully, those kids will consider robotics as a delectable part of their future.
